ActiveHub is an online directory service that helps signpost people to sports clubs and activity providers. Our strategy is to provide an online sports club and activity directory that can be plugged-in to any website in an easy and cost-effective way.
Plug-in ActiveHub on to your website Any website can incorporate our directory plug-in, the only qualification criteria is that you must be operating in a participating area. This means that the database must contain sufficient sports club and activity information to make the directory plug-in work effectively. Please contact us to find out if you are in a participating area.
The cost We can supply our directory plug-in free of charge giving any website online directory functionality and website users gain access to our sports club and activity database. We are particularly keen to see as many schools involved as possible and so special deals can be made available for School Sports Partnerships. There is an annual charge for additional functionality, which includes control of the input of new data and online access to reporting information and communication tools. The overall cost is calculated on a client by client basis and starts from as little as £950 (plus VAT) per year.
ActiveHub data is UK-wide, covering sports clubs and activities, including venues and facilities, integrated with live governing body data wherever possible. This signposts people to their nearest badminton club, football pitches or swimming pool. In 2009 sporting events will be added, including particpation and spectator events. Support from across the board Our directory plug-in promotes joined up thinking, reduces duplication and makes the best use of public resources. Above all, it helps more people engage with sport and activity leading to greater participation. We are supported by CCPR, ClubMark, NSPCC and SportsSearch. The drivers behind ActiveHub are: - The urgent need to reduce the impact of obesity. - The Prime Minister’s aim to increase physical activity beyond the school gate. - Signposting to sports clubs and activity providers is now a legal requirement for local authorities. - 2012 - a unique opportunity to transform participation and leave a lasting legacy. |
